Mimesis
Mimesis is a graduate film by Courtney Vonada made during her last year at the School of Visual Arts. The film is a tribute to the short story Mimic by Donald A. Wollheim, published in 1942. William, a passionate entomologist, is consumed by his unhealthy obsession with a mysterious stranger in his neighborhood. Convinced that it is a creature camouflaging itself as a human, a Mimesis, William finds himself entangled in a perilous pursuit to unveil the truth. His relentless quest to substantiate his theory, causes him to venture into uncharted and hazardous territory.
